These videos are precisely that: videos of incredible dancing, and incredible dancing makes me happy. I wouldn’t go so far to say these are my penultimate favorite videos ever, but each one makes me smile in its own way. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy!
- JEWEL & DEAN FAVORITE: Buck Privates. “Bounce me brother with a solid four” will get stuck in your head after rewinding and replaying Jewels swivels…You can find a longer version here, where I particularly like 1:38-2:04 (essentially the clip below), as a way of looking at Dean and Jewel’s mechanics.
- CURRENT BALBOA FAVORITE: “Sylvia Sykes and Nick Williams show how it’s done in a fantastic freestyle balboa demonstration at Gloucester’s Jumpin’ At The Woodside, May 2008″ from LindyLoon
- WHITEY’S FAVORITE: Hot Chocolates. Whiteys + Duke Ellington = happy.
- LINDY CLASSIC FAVORITE: Skye and Frida showcase musicality with playfulness, improvisation and beautiful connection.
- LINDY-CHARLESTON FAVORITE: Why? The detailed footwork, interesting entrances and exits to moves and a clean, polished execution. Also – lots of interesting textures to the movement.
- TEAM FAVORITE: The Silver Shadows 2006 ALHC routine. A combination of inventive choreogrpahy, hard work, great music (Charlie Barnet’s “The Last Jump”), and excellent performance make this my Team Favorite.
